Welcome to the Illinois Macintosh User Group, serving Mac users from Will County and the surrounding areas since 1985. "IMUG" members meet on a monthly basis to share their experiences and knowledge with fellow Mac aficionados. It's a fun learning experience for all. After all, no other computer platform elicits so much passion from its user base as does the Macintosh.

Four times a year (January, April, September, and November) IMUG meets on the second Monday for General Meetings at the Joliet Public Library - West Branch, 3395 Black Road, Joliet, IL 60435 (when available). At 6:30pm we open the floor to your questions concerning your Mac experience and do our best to try and answer them. Then at 7pm, after a (very) short business session, presentations are given on various topics related to Apple hardware and Mac OS X software. If you've got a Mac-related topic you'd like to see covered, feel free to let one of our Board members know, and we'll do our best to present it.

On the first Monday of the other eight months we meet at 6:30pm at the Panera Bread Store, Rt. 59 and Caton Farm Road in Joliet, IL. These "Coffee Gatherings" are informal get-togethers where Mac users can relax with a cup of coffee and free WiFi and do things like get help learning the ins and outs of OS X and its corresponding applications from fellow members. There's always someone with at least one Mac portable on hand to give hands-on assistance.

Our next general meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 13th at the Joliet Public Library - West Branch. We'll have our usual Q&A session at 6:30pm, with meeting and presentation to follow at 7pm. The Presentation topic and speaker will be posted soon.
