Apple Security Update 2006-002 v1.1

Apple's at it again, releasing another security
update today. Security Update 2006-002 is
recommended for all users and improves the
reliability and security of the following
components:
* apache_mod_php
* CoreTypes
* LaunchServices
* Mail
* rsync
* Safari
Additionally, this update incorporates Security Update 2006-001, which improves the security of the following components:
* apache_mod_php
* automount
* Bom
* Directory Services
* iChat
* IPSec
* LaunchServices
* LibSystem
* loginwindow
* Mail
* rsync
* Safari
* Syndication
REQUIREMENTS
Mac OS X 10.4.5 (client or server)
Before installing this or any other OS update, make sure your hard drive is in good shape:
* Boot from the OS X Install CD and run Disk Utility's Repair Disk function (or use a third-party drive utility such as DiskWarrior).
* When booted from the volume containing Mac OS X, run Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions function. Install the update.
* After rebooting, again run Repair Disk Permissions.
One more thing; MacWorld Online has an excellent article today entitled "Take Control Of Permissions In OSX". It's a very informative article that explains exactly what permissions are and why they exist. So, next time someone tells you that you need to repair your permissions, you'll know exactly what they're talking about!
