Software Update

Last week, Apple released a Security Update for OSX 10.4.2 and 10.3.9 users. Unfortunately, it broke 64-bit applications (which doesn't really apply to most of us), so they released a revised update today. It's available via Software Update. It is recommended you Repair Permissions using Disk Utility before AND after applying software updates.

FYI

For those who may be interested, I've been using a program called Rapidweaver to build and maintain this site. This is an excellent and easy to use program that can make a webmaster out of anybody, and I mean ANYBODY (I'm living proof!). There are programs available that cost hundreds of dollars, which are more complicated to use and offer no big advantage over Rapidweaver, which costs $35... a steal in my opinion.

Anyway, I just wanted to post this info, because this site is now listed in RealMac Software's (RW's parent company) Site Showcase. I just thought that was cool Winking

Something new.

Hi everyone. I thought I'd try something new with the site. I'll use this page to keep everyone up to date on some of the more interesting goings-on in the Mac community as a whole, and our User Group in particular. I've enabled comments as well. Feel free to add discussion or ask questions on anything posted here, anything you may have heard or read in the news concerning our beloved Mac, or on this website in general.

I'm really looking forward to Adam's presentation at our next meeting on Sept. 12. This promises to be extremely informative. Get your questions ready, and we'll see you then. Don't miss it!
